Graduate Profile: Graduate become professionally and methodologically based specialists in the study programme: Translation and Interpreting Studies. Having relevant knowledge of general translation and interpreting theory and all its complementary components, they master the methodology and methods of translation and interpreting research and can apply them flexibly in a range of translation and interpreting genres. The graduates, who are characterised by independent, analytical and synthetic-creative thinking, can fundamentally present their own expert opinions in scientific forums and convincingly argue against the views of other researchers. They have creative potential to seek innovative and original solutions to research challenges. In interpretation and presentation of their own results, they fully reflect the socio-cultural, scientific and ethical dimension of scientific work.
Graduate Employment: Graduate can work as a researcher or university lecturer in Slovakia or abroad and at other scientific or pedagogical institutes which specialize in translation and interpreting or related fields of study.
