Graduate Profile: The subjects of the Lingua-didactics study program take into account current trends in lingua-didactic research, theory and practice, focusing mainly on the methodology of linguistic and educational research. They follow the subjects of the second stage of the university study program Teaching Academic Subjects (English Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, Spanish Language and Literature, Italian Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature). The graduate will acquire the ability to apply acquired theoretical and methodological concepts and practical skills in the field of linguistic and didactic research. During their studies, the doctoral student focuses on the principles, concepts and practices of foreign language learning/acquisition and research trends in linguistic and didactic practice. They learn to lead professional discourse in ethical perspectives of interdisciplinary issues. They can design a research project and process, analyze, and interpret the results of their own research.
Graduate Employment: A graduate of the doctoral (PhD) study program Lingua-didactics can be employed as an independent researcher, university lecturer with continuous scientific and educational activities. Through its systematic research they build on scientific and educational profiling with practice, using their interdisciplinary links. They scientifically research and undergo a critical analysis of existing knowledge about specific problems in various areas of linguistics and didactics. They can compare theoretical approaches in different countries applied in solving specific problems in the field of foreign languages study and teaching, and their cultures. They bring their own solutions in the area of organization and management of the teaching foreign languages process.
